Although this tool has been designed specifically for the signage installation, there is potential for a broader market as a modified box beam level with the its ability to attach accessories using the top and bottom channels, such as, line lasers with digital angle-finder, set squares, sliding T-bevels, clamps, laser distance finders, led lights, magnets, suction cups, and much more. With continued ingenuity, this tool could be the "Swiss Army Knife" of levels.

To Supply the global market with a simple solution to allow workers to move from location to location without having to pull out a tape measure and level each time to mark walls and doors for sign installation and other applications.

Installing signage in commercial, apartment, condo, hospitals and hotel buildings often requires measuring, marking and using a level numerous times for each sign location. Available tools do not have the means of setting a repeatable height, attaching jigs for custom shapes or pilot hole drilling templates.

This tool has 2 rulers: the front ruler for measuring from either end inwards, a rear ruler for setting sign width for center-finding, as well as upper and lower channels for attaching different accessories. To use, set the two end-stops to the sign width on the ruler, then attach the bracket, monopod, adjust to the required height, and lock in place. Place the assembly against the closed door and extend the simultaneously geared rails outward centering the tool within the door jam and turn the thumbscrews to lock them in place. Now install the sign between the two previously set end-stops. Once the tool is calibrated, you can continue installing signs on all the doors with-out any further tool adjustments or measurements.

The developers of Self-Centred are offering to license the manufacturing and distribution rights to qualified organizations. These organizations should be capable of producing the product and/or accessing the appropriate markets with the product.

Self-Centred is the subject of Patent Pending in Canada and the US. Other territories are being considered on an as needed basis.
